Simon Burrow is an immigration rights activist and lecturer, with a strong belief in democracy, free markets and individual freedom.
Mr. Burrow immigrated to the United States from England in the late 1950s. He has often been engaged in civic activism. In 1970 he joined the Vietnam Veterans Against the War and was jailed for protesting the war. Later he would move to California, where he would begin a career as a “hippie carpenter” running a plastic bucket factory. Eventually he founded Brandon International an industrial manufacturing company with factories in the USA, Mexico, Singapore and China.
After selling his business in 2003 Mr. Burrow started Radical Immigration, an organization that argues that it is morally wrong to discriminate against people based on where they were born. In 2007 he produced a documentary film, “Beyond Borders” hoping to create awareness of migration as a basic human right.
Simon holds a BS in Finance from California State University, Los Angeles. He is a frequent guest lecturer in business and entrepreneurship at Cal Poly, Whittier College, University of Southern California, Mount SAC and CSULA.
His current favorite quote is:
"It is our moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws." Martin Luther King
